�鶹ɫ��Ƭ (�鶹ɫ��Ƭ) has awarded relationship support charity, Relate, with a grant of close to £100,000.

The national charity of the Royal Navy, the �鶹ɫ��Ƭ provides millions of pounds per year to services that improve the lives of serving personnel, veterans and families.

As the country’s largest provider of relationship support, Relate provides face to face, online and telephone counselling. Many of those who serve in the Naval Service can be away for up to nine months at a time, putting considerable strain on couples’ relationships. Relate’s support is, therefore, a lifeline for those struggling to maintain their relationships while serving.

Through their services, Relate aim to help people build stronger relationships. This helps individuals, couples and families to withstand the pressures that can lead to relationship breakdown and limits the impact of the fall out if a relationship does end.

Relate offers relationship counselling through face-to-face sessions, webchat and telephone Counselling. In 2019, in conjunction with Relate, the �鶹ɫ��Ƭ will also be launching their new Online Learning Portal, which Naval Service couples can access to help strengthen their relationships.

Discussing the grant awarded to Relate, Director of Relationships and Funding at the �鶹ɫ��Ƭ, Mandy Lindley, said:  

“We are thrilled to award Relate with a grant of close to £100k to help them provide vital relationship counselling services to the men and women of the Naval Service.”

“The �鶹ɫ��Ƭ is also delighted to supplement Relate’s pivotal work by introducing the �鶹ɫ��Ƭ and Relate Online Learning Portal next year. This website will be a fantastic tool for couples who are seeking discreet and easy-to-access advice.”

Relate’s services offer an opportunity for Naval Service couples to talk through any tensions, find ways to stay connected and adapt back to family life after deployment. Thanks to additional funding from �鶹ɫ��Ƭ they’ll also be able to access online information and self-help as and when they need it.”
